| Descripción: | Picture taken on the 9th April 2007 at "Gorges du Segre" near Bains de Llo, Llo, Oriental Pyrenees, France, Catalonia, on metamorphic schists, siliceous rock, East orientation, 85 º, metal-rich area, 1380 m. altitude, in a water-track. Holarctic distribution, subalpine and alpine stages. Mentioned in different Spanish Communities,but not in Catalonia (Biodiversity Data Base), although it appears in the "Enciclopedia Catalana". Good images in Frank S. Dobson Lichens´book and Drs. Eva Barreno & Sergio Pérez, Líquenes de la Reserva Natural Integral de Muniellos (L. LXXIV). Saxicolous, siliceous, hydrophilous,thallus pale grey to light ochre, with greenner places, smooth but normally cracked, up to 10 cm wide. Apothecia up to 1.5 mm in diameter, some with umbonate disc. Disc from brown to black, thalline margin from pale grey to almost black. It forms an association with Verrucaria aethiobola and Hymenelia lacustris, the latter common in Galizia.
