| Descripción: | Picture taken at Enveitg, Alta Cerdanya, Oriental Pyrenees, France, corticolous on several decideous trees, very frequent there, 1.100 m. altitude, in a private garden, nitrophilous. Xanthoria fallax appears not in a cosmopolitan way, it chooses certain specific areas, either epilithic (preference for siliceous rocks) or corticolous, from the seaside to the sub-alpine stage. Foliose lichen, with golden yellow soralia covering the internal part of the thallus but not the external part of the lobes. Apothecia rare, normally non fertile Thallus K+ purple.
