    <description><![CDATA[Picture taken on the 27th May 2007 at Riu de Cerdanya, close the village, Baixa Cerdanya, Oriental Pyrenees, Catalonia.

It is a very common lichen on calcareous rock, nitrophilous, sometimes on constructive materials, even inside cities.

There is not an evident thallus in this lichen. Sometimes apothecia scattered or crowded by zones.

Candelariella vitellina normally prefers siliceous rocks. 

K-: in Candelariella vitellina thallus gives K+ pink and apothecia K+ orange.
