| Descripción: | Picture taken on the 28th April 2007 at Targasonne, Alta Cerdanya, Oriental Pyrenees, France, Catalonia, on the top of a granite boulder, siliceous rock, flat surface but protected by a prominence of the rock, ornitocophilous, 1.650 m. altitude. This lichen is one of the main characteristic especies of ornitocoprophilous lichens communities on granite boulders. Common all around the Pyrenees. Determination based on P.L. Nimis and S. Martellos (Dryades, The Information System on Italian Lichens) and V. Wirth. var. capitata, on the top of boulders, globular soredia at the tip of the lacinia, not digitiform at the end. Sometimes, the limit between the different varieties is not clear, the same happens with respect Ramalina polymorpha. There is a huge variability. Negative chemical reactions.
